"La Nuit des Châteaux", a first in France and in Goudourville

Who hasn't dreamed of strolling through a thousand-year-old castle at nightfall ?

All over France and for the first time, a hundred or so castles are opening their doors at the same time for an extraordinary night-time experience: the "Nuit des Châteaux". By candlelight, by candlestick or through a live show, discover these places rich in history as you have never seen them, on Saturday 19 October 2019.


The "Nuit des Châteaux" is a national event launched by the start-up Dartagnans.

The aim of the "Nuit des Châteaux" is to raise public awareness of heritage preservation through an unforgettable night-time event.

The Château de Goudourville is the only château in the Tarn-et-Garonne to take part in the first edition of this event. Located 1 hour from Toulouse, 1 hour from Montauban and 30 minutes from Agen, the Château de Goudourville is a historic monument whose origins date back to the 11th century. For this exceptional evening, it has chosen to highlight the 18th century and the Berdolle family, the owners of this period.

Programme "Window on the Age of Enlightenment" Saturday 19 October from 8.30 to 11.30 pm !

  • Historical visit of the castle,

  • Talk "Living at the Château de Goudourville in the 18th century with the Berdolle family", with Louis I de Berdolle, born in 1703, who will come back especially for us with one of his descendants !

  • Harp concerts

  • Calligraphy workshop with a master calligrapher And for those who want to come during the day, the castle of Goudourville will also be open on Sunday 20 October from 3pm to 6.30pm COMMUNIQUÉ DE PRESSE
